The Fenway Park in Boston is the Holy of Holies of a real Red Sox Fan. I had last summer the first time the chance to experience such an event. Although Baseball is not as fast as Soccer, the Red Sox Nation comes close to a German football stadium experience. I know now the text for “Sweet Caroline” 😉 Go Red Sox!!!
Enclosed you find some more of my shots. Hope you like it.

Awesome! I love your use of HDR. One question for you. How do you keep your camera so stable that you can get the multiple exposures for the HDR? I am in Detroit MI and take my camera to Tiger games all the time. They do not allow tripods so I am always trying to find good ways to stabilize my camera.
Hi rjk,
thank you for the nice feedback. HDR is great for evening shots in a stadium, because the dynamic rage can be pretty high there. You have have the bright stadium light and the relatively dark sky. Bright field and dark audience.
Se shots you see above are all hand hold three exposure shots (+-2EV). I didn’t used a tripod. The shots were afterswards aligned by function “merge to HDR” by photoshop. This result in a 32bit shot. This file I post process with photomatix to an optimal HDR. More is described here: http://www.werner-kunz.com/world/2010/02/behind-the-photo-back-bay-from-a-roof-deck/
Moving people I usually mask out. Means I take my best normal shot and blend the people from this shot over my HDR shot. In the shot above I didn’t already how to do that. You see the ghosting of the person in the blue shirt.
If it becomes darker, hand hold shots are not so easy possible. Then I use a small monopod. I will post in the future about this tripod. It is pretty handy and so small that it doesn’t count as a tripod. Especially good for stadiums !!!
Hope that helped and please continue following me and spread the word about the blog 😉
Best
Werner
